School is almost back in session, Cassville! 🐾 That means more kids walking, biking and crossing streets, and more buses making frequent stops. Let’s all do our part to keep our students safe:

✅ Slow down in school zones.
✅ Stop for school buses when their stop arm is out.
✅ Stay alert—put the phone down and watch for kids crossing.
✅ Yield to pedestrians in crosswalks.

🇺🇸 Independence Day Office Closure 🇺🇸

In observance of Independence Day, City Hall will close early at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 3, and remain closed all day on Friday, July 4.

We wish everyone a safe, joyful, and patriotic holiday as we celebrate the freedom and spirit of this great nation.

City Hall will reopen with normal business hours on Monday, July 7.

🚧 Traffic Alert: One-Lane Road at Presley & 11th Street 🚧 Heads up, Cassville! Public Works will be installing a new fire hydrant at the intersection of Presley and 11th Street on Monday and Tuesday. During this time, traffic will be reduced to one lane in that area. Please use caution, watch for crews, and allow extra time if you’re traveling through. Thank you for your patience as we work to improve city infrastructure!

🚨 Important Notice for Cassville Residents 🚨 We’ve received reports of an individual going door-to-door selling camera equipment and claiming to have the City of Cassville’s permission. This is not true—he does not have permission or any affiliation with the City. If you encounter this individual or any suspicious activity, please contact the Cassville Police Department. Your safety and awareness are important!

Shoutout to our Public Works team! They’ve been out since early this morning clearing storm debris and making sure our streets and public areas stay safe and clean. We’re grateful for their hard work and dedication—rain or shine!

Cassville, we’re seeing an awesome response to the Citywide Clean-Up — thank you for participating! If CARDS hasn’t made it to your house yet, don’t worry — pickup is still ongoing and may continue through Monday to get everyone taken care of. It’s Free Swim Day at the Cassville Aquatic Park! The pool is open from 1PM-8PM! Special thanks to our Public Works team and the Cassville YMCA who have worked hard at monitoring the pool conditions during the last few days. If approved, the estimated $100,000 in annual revenue would support: ✅ Cassville Public Safety ✅ Cassville Public Parks ✅ 7th Street Bridge Project ✅ Capital Improvement Projects 📍 Where to Vote: Family Life Center – 200 W 5th St, Cassville 🕕 Polls Open: 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM 📸 Don’t forget to bring a valid photo ID This tax is only collected from recreational marijuana sales, ensuring that general shoppers and local businesses are not impacted.

Understanding the City’s Sales Tax Ballot Question 1: Does This Affect All Shoppers in Cassville? No. The 3% sales tax ONLY applies to purchases of non-medical marijuana. It does NOT apply to: -Groceries - Gas - Restaurants -Retail Purchases This tax is only collected from recreational marijuana sales, ensuring that general shoppers and local businesses are not impacted.

Understanding the City’s Sales Tax – Not a Double Tax Will I be taxed by both the City and the County? No. The Missouri Supreme Court recently ruled that cities have the first opportunity to implement a 3% sales tax on non-medical marijuana. If Cassville’s tax is approved, the 3% collected would go to the City of Cassville—not Barry County.
