Cassville City Hall

The regular business hours for City Hall are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday, closed legal holidays.

The following services are located in City Hall, 300 Main Street;
Water, Sewer & Trash/Recycling Service - account set-up and payments, Issuance of building permits, Liquor Licenses, Fireworks Sales Permits, Conditional Use Permits, and Sign Permits.

Council meetings are held on the second Monday of each month, 6:00 p.m. in Council chambers, at the rear of City Hall. Citizens wishing to address the Board of Aldermen at a regular City Council meeting are requested to complete and submit a Request to Address City Council form. The form must be received by the City Clerk no less than seven days prior to the meeting date.

The City Clerk is the official record keeper of the City. Some of the important records she is responsible for include minutes, ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and other vital records. The City Clerk also prepares documents for candidate filing for city elections & certifies election ballots. The City Clerk maintains the custody of the official seal of the city, insurance records, and personnel records & benefits information. The City Clerk performs the duties of Human Resources Director.

Municipal Court Administrator – Jennifer Privett

The City of Cassville Municipal Court meets weekly on Monday, 3pm, in the City Council Chambers, at the rear of City Hall.

Cases in municipal court involve alleged violations of municipal ordinances of the City of Cassville. If you receive a ticket/summons for a municipal violation, you have certain rights and responsibilities.
If you have any legal questions regarding your case you need to contact a private attorney. The municipal court staff cannot give you legal advice.

The City of Cassville does not require a business license. City Hall does issue building permits, Liquor Licenses, Fireworks Sales Permits, Conditional Use Permits, Sign Permits.

 

Accounting Clerk – Cherry Bailey

The Accounting Department serves the residents of Cassville by providing internal support, administration, management, and external customer service for all financially related issues. Through financial planning, budgeting, and management with purchasing and accounting, the accounting staff provides effective and efficient financial reporting. The department oversees compliance with federal, state, and local statutes, regulations, and codes to ensure the city's accountability and prudent use of public funds. These services are intended to be provided in a timely, accurate, and cost efficient manner.

 

Utility Billing Clerk – Jean Haddock

The Utility Billing Clerk is responsible for setting up new services (water, sewer, trash/recycle) and prepares the monthly billing. The public works department reads meters monthly. The utility invoice consists of the water, sewer, and trash charges. Bills are mailed out by the last working day of each month and are due by the 15th of the following month. Payments received after that date are subject to a $25 penalty. Accounts not paid by the end the following month are subject to disconnect and a large deposit to reconnect.

The utility department recommends that property owners regularly check their homes for any type of water leak (stool running, drippy faucet, etc.) as the smallest leak can add several thousand gallons of water to your billing.

The role of the Deputy City Clerk is to assist the City Clerk in all duties, to act as City Clerk when called upon, and to implement and maintain the Fixed Asset System.
